There are now printers which will “print” 3d using plastic substances based off of 3 dimensional renderings on various computer programs. Logan Media won a contest to have their designs printed from a prototype. I was asked to shoot some photos for them.

All the idiotic and amateurish comments about the lighting being wrong will continue I imagine, but they had very specific lighting requirements which I fulfilled to their immense satisfaction.

On his We All Need Love EP, Herbert really comes into his own as a master of deep house. The title track is particularly soulful, with just enough beat for more discerning dancefloors. “Dropped” is darker and moodier, but no less deep; “Aerosoul” shows some more of that cheeky Herbert humor, utilizing the sounds of a spray can in the track. “I Hadn’t Known (I Only Heard)” is a wonderful example of how Herbert integrates Dani Siciliano’s voice into his own creations, and the Hmmmix of “Going Round” is a ambient track that swirls around Dani’s voice again. An outstanding example of Herbert’s work.

em_bruto is an audio-visual performance that was born with the objective of exploring the interface of the software Pure Data (PD) as a medium of visual composition. Imagining that in this manner it would be possible promote an aestheticization of the “raw” interface of the sofware in an interesting way, as an allusion to the aesthetics of live coding, and so it would be feasible to add new values and meanings to abstract shapes like squares, circles and crosses.Therefore, the visual elements used to compose this work are objects that are part of the visual programming language of PD such as: objects, number boxes and mainly GUI elements (toggles, bangs, radios and canvasses). These elements are manipulated with a piece of music played live, which refers to some sounds of old synthesizers, computer glitches and unsuccessful mash-ups .This mixture ends up generating a performance that is accessible both to a specialized audience and for a general audience.
